Thomas Thompson Napier of England built Napier House at Fort Kochi of Gods of Country, Kerala using local timber prepared by then slaves. In early days there was a race track on the property where Indians and early settlers, Dutch and Portuguese, were said to gather for races and chicken fights.
The interim office and guest house of Viceroy Napier. The first floor was the office and ground floor was used for tying horses. The building holds a history of more than 300 (three hundred) years and was a venue for at least 150 national and international movies.
